Army NCC Special Entry Selection Process
Shortlisting:Â Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army) reserves the right for shortlisting of applications, without assigning any reason. After shortlisting of applications, the Centre allotment will be intimated to candidates via their email.
SSB/ Interview: Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab). Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre on candidates’ registered e-mail id and SMS only. Duration of SSB interview is five days.
Medical Examination:Â Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit, will be issued joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria. How many seats are reserved for NCC in army?
64 seats each year irrespective of merit in SSB. As Short Service Commissioned Officers in the Indian Army. NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders are exempted from appearing in written Examination (UPSC exam).
Which is the highest grade in NCC?
Three certificates are awarded (1) A grade, (2) B grade, (3) C grade. The best certificate is A, which has the highest value. (i) A cadet has to obtain 45% marks in each paper & 50% marks in the aggregate to pass the examination. Grading is based on total marks obtain will be awarded as follows.
Are NCC cadets given guns?
22 Deluxe rifle is used by NCC cadets for firing.

Is NCC useful for NDA?
Yes, definitely you will get benefit of NCC certificates in SSB interview if you qualify written. NCC discipline will also help you during ssb as they look for candidates having experienced NCC or like that before. But you will have to first clear the NDA exam. Hope this helps you!
