Indian Navy has announced the opening of online application for Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023. The scheme is open for unmarried male candidates who have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and fulfill the eligibility criteria. Selected candidates will undergo 4 years B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy.

Ezhimala and will be awarded an engineering degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Upon successful completion of the course, they will be commissioned as officers in the Executive branch of the Indian Navy.

The selection process for Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023 comprises of a written examination, followed by SSB interviews and medical examination. Candidates who clear the written examination will be called for SSB interviews. The written examination will be conducted by the Indian Navy in August / September 2023.

The written examination for Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023 will comprise of objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The duration of the examination will be 3 hours and the total marks will be 100. Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in the written examination to qualify for SSB interviews.

The SSB interviews will be conducted by the Indian Navy in October / November 2023. Candidates who clear the SSB interviews will be called for medical examination. The final selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written examination, SSB interviews and medical examination.

The cut off marks for Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023 will be released by the Indian Navy in September 2023. Candidates who meet the cut off marks will be eligible for selection.

The course will commence in July 2024 at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. Candidates who are selected for the course will have to undergo 4 years of training at the Academy. Upon successful completion of the course, they will be awarded an engineering degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. They will then be commissioned as officers in the Executive branch of the Indian Navy.

The PSB is conducted at various centres across India. Candidates who meet the age, educational and physical standards will be called for the PSB. The PSB tests include Intelligence Test, Picture Perception & Discussion Test and Psychological Testing.

Candidates who qualify at the PSB will be called for the SSB interview. The SSB interview tests include Officer-like Qualities, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference.

The final merit list for selection to the Scheme will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the SSB interview.

The following are the important dates for the Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023 :

• Online application forms will be available from 01 May 2021 to 20 May 2021.

• Candidates will have to appear for the Preliminary Selection Board (PSB) from July 2021 onwards.

Eligibility Criteria for Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme 2023

(i) Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
(ii) Age Limit: Candidate must be born between 02 Jan 2002 and 01 Jul 2005 (both dates inclusive).
(iii) Educational Qualification: Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) subjects from a recognised board or university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates who are appearing in the 10+2 examination in 2022 can also apply.
(iv) Physical Standards: Candidate must be physically fit and satisfy the medical standards as laid down by the Indian Navy.
(v) Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews, to be held at various centres across the country.
