SSC MTS Syllabus 2023

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employees are the Group C central government employees that are hired through special SSC exams. MTS Employees are a very important part of the bureaucracy, especially when it comes to performing the daily operations of different departments. MTS Employees are hired in the CCAS cadre (Central Civil Accounts Service) of Group C and are offered promotions within this group on the basis of seniority. Numerical and Mathematical Ability Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationships between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Work and Time, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Direct and inverse Proportions, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots, etc.
Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, Problem Solving and Analysis, Nonverbal Reasoning based on diagrams, Age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, etc.
General Awareness Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science and Environmental studies up to 10th standard.
English Language and Comprehension Basics of English Language, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and to test comprehension, a simple paragraph may be given and question based on the paragraph.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern (Revised)

  • The SSC has changed the SSC MTS Exam Pattern for the 2023 year.
  • The exam will be conducted for 270 marks.
  • A total number of 90 questions are asked.
  • There will be no negative marking in Session-I. In Session-II,
    there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong
    answer..

This year SSC has changed the SSC MTS Selection Process. According to the revised selection process, the selection of candidates will be done on the basis of Paper 1 only followed by PET/PST and Document Verification.
